Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Greensboro, North Carolina
• Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Every other weekend; holidays as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Focus

• Cardiac patients, including congestive heart failure, rule-out myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndrome, and arrhythmias
• Secondary focus on respiratory problems such as COPD and pneumonia
• Common patient diagnoses include heart failure, respiratory failure, NSTEMI, COPD, and pneumonia

Licensure / Verification

• North Carolina RN license
• NURSYS verification within 60 days of start

• Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
• 2 supervisory references
• Annual skills checklist
• Work history verification for the last 5 years
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Pass/fail testing and competency requirements apply to RNs
• Health and immunization compliance required, including Tdap, TB screening, MMR immunity, varicella immunity, Hepatitis B status, drug screening, and flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
