PCU Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Johnson City, Tennessee
Day shift: 4x12 hours, 6:30–19:00
48 hours per week
13-week contract
No call
Floating required
Must be comfortable floating and working 1:7 ratios when floated to MS
36/36, 36/48, and 48/48 schedules are available

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Assignment Details

16 hours of nonbillable orientation
General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online CBLs
Hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
Additional shifts picked up above the work commitment may be flexed as needed for census decrease or decreased resource need without penalty
Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care practice

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
