Description

Interventional Radiology RN

Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in Salisbury, North Carolina
  • 16-week assignment
  • Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Target ratio: 1:3-4
  • No float requirement

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
  • 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience
  • Skills: Scrub, Circulate, Telemetry
  • Willing and have provided STEMI call in the past
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skills: IV Start, Triage, PA Lines, Conscious Sedation

Unit Details

  • Department includes interventional radiology, invasive cardiology, peripheral vascular, and EP device implant procedures
  • 85% IR / 15% other procedures
  • Weekly rotation provides procedure coverage for all listed services
  • 24/7 call coverage for STEMI, emergent/urgent IR, and cardiology procedures
  • Call team consists of three staff members, one of whom is an RN
  • Scrubs provided
  • EPIC used
  • Unit orientation: 16 hours

Schedule and Call

  • Weekday call: 4:00 PM to 7:30 AM the next morning
  • Weekend call: Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM
  • One call weekend per month, plus one week following that weekend with no call
  • Occasional additional call may be required
  • Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback time depends on procedure type

  • RTO after booking is not allowed
  • Locals accepted
  • Interview required before offer

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
