Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Portland, Oregon
- 13-week assignment
- 12-hour shifts: evening 3:00 PM–3:00 AM or day 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- On-call required if cancelled
- May float between units based on unit needs
- 48 hours approved
Unit / Clinical Setting
- Labor and Delivery
- Expected ratios: 1:1 and 1:3 couplets
- May float to Postpartum and High Risk Antepartum
- High Risk OB experience is specifically noted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- High Risk OB experience
- Post Partum experience
- Antepartum experience
- Ability to float to sister facilities (Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent)
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application must include at least the last 5 years of employment
- Skills checklist required for the applicable unit
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask required
- Negative TB or chest X-ray required
- Tdap within 10 years
- Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella documentation required
- Drug screen required
- Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
- COVID vaccination record or declination required
- RespSafety clearance required
- Background check required
- Education verification required
- State-specific Washington/Oregon border-state screening requirements may apply if floated to applicable locations

- Scrub color: OR/L&D provided; all other scrubs any color
- Parking is free
- If floating consecutive shifts, a hotel may be offered at additional cost
