Respiratory Therapist - Peds/Adult

Overview

Travel/Contract assignment in Anchorage, Alaska
Start: ASAP
Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 variable
Weekend work required
First-time travelers accepted
Floating: may cover NICU, PICU, and Adult
Locals not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Pending license accepted, but license must be in hand for auto offer
Must work 2 or 3 major holidays, including Christmas

Required Qualifications

2 years of Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience
Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
Trauma experience required
NRP
PALS
Experience with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, or Servo I

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS

Unit / Setting

28-bed adult ICU
9-bed PICU
66-bed Level 3 NICU
Floor therapy
Level II trauma for adults and pediatrics
Open heart surgeries on adults
RT therapies include NIV, high flow, nebulizers, CPT, nitric oxide, and Flolan nebulizer
Ventilator equipment includes Draeger vents for adults, Servo-I for PICU and NICU, and 3100A/3100B plus Jet ventilators in NICU

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
