Description
Peds/Neo Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour nights
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Holidays: possibly
Setting / Unit
- Department: RT
- Covers NICU or PICU
- Patients: peds and neonates
- Treatments per day: 20–25
Required Qualifications
- RRT
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- NRP
- 2 or more years of experience working in PICU and/or level 4 or greater NICU
Preferred Qualifications
- CRT is not preferred; RRT is preferred
Responsibilities
- All aspects of respiratory care
- Aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, Hamilton and Servo ventilators, airway management, and intrahospital transport
- Assist only for intubation
Additional Details
- Preference scheduling is permitted
- RT will not be the only RT in house
- Preferred staffing is 8 RTs per shift
- No call or standby call requirement
- Floating: no
- Scrub color: stone/light gray
- Hospitalist or intensivist in house
- Department-specific orientation provided; timeframe depends on previous experience
