RN - CCU

Overview

  • Travel RN position in Corpus Christi, Texas
  • Full-time
  • Night shift: 7 PM–7 AM
  • 1 open position
  • 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • CCU - Coronary Care experience within the last year
  • 1 year of experience in CCU - Coronary Care
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with CABGs (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts)
  • Experience with IMPELLA devices
  • Experience with Balloon Pump devices
  • Experience with Arctic Sun devices
  • Experience with TABLO XT/CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
  • Experience caring for high-acuity patients with multiple comorbidities and complex drips

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Epic experience
  • Experience in the related nursing specialty
  • Experience in a Critical Care setting

Clinical Experience

  • CABGs
  • Recovery of post cardiothoracic surgery patients fresh out of OR
  • IMPELLA
  • Balloon Pump
  • Artic sun
  • TABLO XT / CRRT
  • High-acuity patients with multiple comorbidities and drips

Additional Notes

  • New graduates are accepted
  • Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
  • New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member
  • Initial onboarding includes organizational entry competency validation and a Critical Care Department-specific competency validation
  • Annual competency verification is required

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
