Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Kingsport, Tennessee.
• Unit: Ortho/Spine/Med/Surg.
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 18:30–7:00.
• Schedules available: 36/36, 36/48, and 48/48.
• Every other weekend.
• No call.
• Required to float.
• 1:7 ratios.
• 13-week contract.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee.
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
• 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred

• 2 references preferred, 3 preferred.
• ACLS is listed in the source certifications section.
• PALS is listed in the source certifications section.
• NRP is highly preferred prior to start for ER candidates.
• TNCC is highly preferred for ER candidates.
• NIH Stroke Certification is listed in the source certifications section.

Notes

• General orientation begins on Sundays, with online CBLs on Sunday.
• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation.
• The hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases.
• Additional shifts above the work commitment may be flexed as needed for census decrease or decreased resource need without penalty.
• Contract RN/LPN team members are expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education.
