Description
Postpartum RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Seattle, Washington
- Unit is a large-volume, high-census postpartum setting with high-risk obstetric patients
- Assignment length: 13 or 26 weeks
- Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s
- Nights: 19:00–7:30
- 6 weekend days per contract
- Float scope includes Postpartum at Issaquah Campus, Postpartum at Edmonds Campus, and Labor and Delivery for the 2nd hour of recovery
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Post Partum (2 years of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- 2 years of high-acuity postpartum care experience
- Experience working with High Risk patients
- Ability to manage 4 couplets (high patient census management)
- Magnesium administration experience
- Pitocin administration experience
- Postpartum hemorrhage management experience
- Substance withdrawal care experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- JADA experience
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted if they have at least 2 years of experience and can handle high-acuity postpartum care
