Emergency Department RN

Overview

Contract role in State College, Pennsylvania
Evening shift, 12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Emergency Department experience
Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS

EPIC Computer Charting Experience

Role Summary

Provides professional nursing care in the Emergency Department for neonate through geriatric patients
Uses ENA standards and the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Triages patients entering the emergency care system and prioritizes care based on physical and psychosocial needs
May have scheduled on-call assignments due to community event-related patient volume
Manages complications and emergencies according to department policies and ENA standards

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
