Labor and Delivery RN-CHARGE NURSE
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Anchorage, Alaska
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 or 4x12
- First timers accepted
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- May float to like units if needed
- No block schedule accommodation
- Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending license accepted, but Alaska RN license must be in hand for Auto Offer
- On-call not required
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
- Scrub color provided
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in Charge roles
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Charge experience preferred or willing to train as charge
Unit Information
- High Risk L&D unit
- OB Triage/Testing: 5-10
- LD/Antepartum: 7-14
- 10 OB Triage rooms
- 10 LDR rooms
- 3 OR suites
- 4 PACU rooms
- Average daily deliveries around 7, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high risk antepartum
- OB Triage averages 4-5 third trimester testing patients plus additional triage patients each day
