ER
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Bloomington, Indiana
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Locals are not accepted
- May float to nearby sister facilities as needed, rarely
- Every other weekend required
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- The department cannot accommodate 12/25 RTO
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- 2 years of ER experience for first-time travelers
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- NIHSS
Preferred
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap is preferred, but not required
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Minimum of 2 references from recent employment
- Current employment application with all gaps of 30 days or more explained
- Skills checklist completed within 12 months of start and annually
- Application history must cover 7 years, with all gaps accounted for
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire
- Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella immunity documentation or vaccines
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption
- Color blind exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Unit competency exam
- Background check and required federal/state screening items
- Education verification and transcript/diploma documentation
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Facility-specific onboarding documents
