ICU RN for Stem Cell Transplant and Car-T patient unit

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Zion, Illinois
• Night shift: 3x12s, 19:00–07:30
• 15 rooms/beds; average daily census about 7
• Float required to Med/Surg
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call
• 24-hour orientation on the floor
• Pewter scrubs required and not provided
• No RTO for 12/24–12/25 or 12/31–1/01

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• PICC line management
• Titration of cardiac drips
• Assistance with management of BiPAP/CPAP
• Assistance with chest tube insertion and removal
• Care of ventilated patients
• High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
• Emergency medication
• Assist with management of BiPAP/CPAP
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
• HFNC
• Interpretation of ABGs
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Ventilator management
• Infection prevention
• Isolation precautions/use of PPE
• Phlebotomy

Preferred

• 4 years of experience preferred
• Stem cell experience
• OCN
• IV insulin protocols
• Accessing ports
• Starting IVs
• CVA/acute stroke management
• ICP monitoring
• Chemotherapy administration
• Surgical wounds with drains/wound vac
