Pharmacist

Overview

• Travel assignment in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
• 13-week contract
• 40 hours per week
• Shifts are 5x8 hours, including weekends
• Adult and Geriatric patient population

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Oklahoma
• Pharmacist (1 year of experience)
• Pharmacist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Role Details

• Works in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy
• Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies
• Interprets medication orders and prepares pharmaceutical products according to pharmacy standards
• Supervises technical support staff
• Supports clinical, quality management, education, and drug information activities
• Must be able to enter a minimum of 40 orders per four-hour shift
• Performs backup procedures, maintains aseptic technique, and checks technician-prepared products before release
• Maintains security of the Pharmacy and controlled substances
• Prioritizes STAT, Now, and Waiting orders
• Reviews patient profiles for safe and appropriate drug therapy
• Performs pharmacokinetic dosing service, including dose interpretation and modification
• Calculates fluid, electrolyte, and calorie needs
• Writes progress notes per protocol
• Follows fill-on-arrival orders
