Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Rome, New York
- Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- This is an RFQ; there is no guarantee the bid will be awarded
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field
- New York State licensure or eligibility, if applicable
- Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Competency Exam required for all candidates
- 2 References required
- 5-year work history verification required
- Fingerprinting required
- New York - NYS Criminal Background Check Fingerprint Results required
- New York - NYS DCJS Criminal History Request Form required
- NY Sex Offender Registry Search Results required within 6 months prior to start
- Physical Exam required within 1 year of start
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required within 12 months prior to start
- Drug Testing required within 1 year of start
- Rubeola (Measles) documentation or titers required
- Mumps documentation or titers required
- Rubella documentation or titers required
- Hepatitis B documentation, titers, or declination required
- Varicella documentation or titers required
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation required
- TB Questionnaire required annually in lieu of annual TB test
- Driver’s license required for first day check-in
- Must provide comprehensive nutrition services to incarcerated patients in a secure correctional setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential
- Correctional, clinical, acute-care, or institutional food-service experience
Responsibilities
- Complete nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans
- Monitor patients with chronic conditions, special diets, malnutrition, and other nutritional needs
- Make diet recommendations and collaborate with medical staff and food-service personnel
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and healthcare staff
- Review medical records, document interventions, and monitor patient progress
- Follow facility policies, dietary standards, and applicable healthcare regulations

- Work attestations are accepted for work history verification
