Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Oncology (2 years of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Bone Marrow Transplant experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ONS/ONCC
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- First-timers accepted with 3+ years of experience
Role Details
- Provides Intermediate Level of Care to patients ages 0-18
- Obstetric patients under 18 with a new Hem/Onc/BMT diagnosis are case by case
- Some pediatric oncology patients may be followed until age 25
- Common diagnoses include leukemia, brain tumors, bone tumors, sarcoma, lymphomas, blood diseases, immunological diseases, storage diseases, Bone Marrow Transplants, and Graft vs Host Disease
- Nurses also support Hem/Onc/BMT patients on other units, including chemotherapy support, BMT expertise, and central lines
Facility Notes
