Description

Adult Psych RN

Overview

Contract role in Lewiston, Maine.
Inpatient adolescent behavioral unit caring for children and adolescents ages 6–18.
Must be willing to float to Chemical Dependency/Detox.
Shift: 3x 12-hour nights.
Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Valid RN license in Maine.
Psychiatric experience with at least 1 year of experience.
Psychiatric experience within the last year.
BLS certification.
CPI certification.

Preferred Qualifications

1–3 years previous nursing experience working with adults.

Role Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect patient care.
Work with an interdisciplinary team.
Administer medications and provide education.
Complete daily documentation of patient care.
Manage and monitor behaviors throughout the unit.
Participate in and lead education groups.

Additional Notes

Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
