Step Down RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Middletown, Ohio
• Progressive Care Unit
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• 1 year of experience in PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic
• Must be able to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting the assignment
• NIH Stroke Certification required within 12 months prior to start and updated annually
• Current resume/application required
• 2 references from within 2 years of start are required, with 1 from a Manager, Supervisor, or Charge RN
• Skills checklist required within 1 year prior to documentation due date and updated annually
• Current Ohio licensure required with primary source verification
• NURSYS verification required
• Physical exam within 2 years of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required
• Drug screen required within 12 months prior to documentation due date
• Annual health questionnaire required
• Candidate agreement required
• Respiratory protection medical questionnaire and RespSafety clearance required within 1 year of start
• E-Verify required
• Background check required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required
• HHS/OIG required
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Proof of name change required if applicable

Schedule and Staffing

• Traveler must be available to work every other weekend and holiday
• Traveler will be first to float at the facility’s discretion
• May float in and out of the specialty cluster and be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to
• Facility may cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract
• Facility may cancel the agreement with 2 weeks’ notice without fee or fine

Notes

• License does not need to be in hand to apply, but it must be obtained before the contract begins
• Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives
