Description

Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient / Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Role overview

Temp assignment in Windsor, Vermont.
Based in the Same Day Surgery Center.
Mostly PACU work, with occasional support in the OR as needed.
Surgical Services has 2 operating rooms and a procedure room.
Care is for adult and geriatric patients; the department also provides care to patients ages 16 and older.

Required qualifications

Valid RN license in Vermont
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Same Day Surgery experience
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
IV starts
Experience with Cerner
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Driver's License

Preferred qualifications

PACU/ICU experience.
Travel experience.

Additional notes

Hospital-provided scrubs.
8-hour days.
13-week contract.
No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two holiday blocks if scheduled/needed.
Local travelers within 50 miles are not eligible.
Call is required.

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
