Cath Lab RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Dayton, Ohio
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:30–17:30
- 13-week contract
- Call required: once weekly, every 4th weekend, and potential one holiday on call
- Fast-paced, high-acuity cath lab with 2 EP labs and 5 cath labs
- About 20 patients per day across all labs
- Performs advanced cardiac cath and peripheral angiography, electrophysiologic studies, therapeutic interventional procedures, and cardiac device implantation procedures
- Provides peri-procedural care and education, assists cardiologists and other specialists, and maintains procedure records
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience greater than 1 year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Current resume/application
- 2 references from within 2 years of start, with 1 from a Manager, Supervisor, or Charge RN
- Skills checklist within 1 year prior to documentation due date and updated annually
- Current physical exam within 2 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Drug screen within 12 months prior to documentation due date
- Annual health questionnaire
- Candidate agreement
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year of start
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam within 2 years of start
- Unit-specific competency exam within 2 years prior to start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 1 year of start
- Background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify documentation
- Proof of name change, if applicable

- EPIC familiarity
- MacLab familiarity
