Interventional Radiology
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Rotating call every 4th week.
- 50-mile radius rule applies.
- Contract length: 46 days.
Role Details
- Imaging support in the OR working vascular IR.
- The role is for a tech, not a nurse.
- The ideal candidate is comfortable being actively involved in the full case workflow, works independently, and has strong vascular/IR experience with familiarity in Hybrid OR procedures.
- Responsibilities include pulling inventory and ordering cases in EPIC before procedures, running the table and controls during cases, performing 3D spins and working with fusion technology, filming and post-processing images, using HI-IQ to document inventory used during the case, working closely with vascular surgeons and the OR team, and supporting simple surgical cases with a C-arm during downtime, including Impellas and cystos.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
- Interventional Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ARRT
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong vascular/IR experience
- Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures
- Ability to work independently
