Operating Room RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Odessa, Texas
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: Friday to Sunday, 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- No call
- 3–4 days of orientation
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with Cerner
- Experience with robotic surgery
- Experience with the da Vinci surgical robot
- Experience with orthospine surgery
- Experience with complex general surgery
- Experience with pain management procedures
- Experience with ENT procedures
- Experience with ophthalmology procedures
- Experience with Trauma Level 2
- Orthopedics experience
- Urology experience
Clinical Experience
- Experience in all or most of the following areas: robotic (DaVinci XI), orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, some ENT, some ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and Trauma Level 2
Additional Required Items
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify or attestation
- Background check
- 7-year background check within 30 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
- Competency exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test within 1 year
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella documentation
- Drug testing within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- Initial COVID series or facility-specific declination
- Annual TBQ
- Annual background check renewal
- Annual skills checklist update
- Annual orientation safety manual update
