Mammography Tech

Overview

Travel/contract role in Maryville, Illinois
13-week assignment
Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday
Rotating Saturdays, typically every 6th
Caseload: 30-40/day
Open to block scheduling Monday-Friday
No on-call
No floating within scope
First-timers not accepted
Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid Mammography Technologist license in Illinois
Mammography Technologist (2 years of experience)
Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ARRT (Mammography)

Preferred Qualifications

Registered Breast Ultrasound or Registered Breast Sonographer
DEXA experience

Role Details

Performs outpatient screening and diagnostic mammography exams
Performs bone density, stereotactic and US bx, magseed and wire loc placement, and post clip placements
Tech will not be required to learn BXs or localization exams
Should be comfortable with post clip exams

Additional Notes

Meditech experience is highly preferred
Free parking in designated employee lots

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
