Respiratory Therapist
Overview
- 13-week travel assignment in Boise, Idaho
- Department: Respiratory Therapy
- Unit: Respiratory Therapy Boise Hospital Flr 1
- 12-hour day shifts, 7a-7p
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS
- At least 2-3 years of experience if RRT
- At least 3-5 years of experience if CRT
- Must be able to assist with intubation
- Must be willing to float to Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center
- Must live outside the 50-mile radius rule
Preferred Qualifications
- RRT preferred
- CRT accepted with at least 3-5 years of experience
Clinical Details
- Covers adults, pediatrics, and NICU
- Inpatient role
- RTs on pediatric floors also cover adults
- RTs on adult floors do not cover pediatrics
- Will manage RT equipment, treatments, transport, and ABGs
- Will not do EKGs
- If assigned to NICU, must know NAVA on Cervo vents
- Adults: BLS, ACLS
- Pediatrics: BLS, PALS
- NICU: BLS, NRP
- Equipment includes Draeger vents for adults, Servo U for pediatrics, V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm high flow, Optiflow for NICU and PICU, Philips Cough Assist, ResMed home CPAP, HillRom Vest machines, and Hill-Rom Metaneb
Scheduling
- Every other weekend
- Required to work holidays if scheduled during the holiday
- No call or standby call
- Overtime may be available
- Scheduler makes the schedule; blocks may be accommodated but are not guaranteed
Orientation
- Typically 2-3 shifts
- 1 shift for adult floor care
- 1 shift for pediatrics if covering pediatrics
- 1 shift for NICU if covering NICU
- Additional shift for adult ICU if covering adult ICU
