Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Kodiak, Alaska
- Shift: 3x12 Variable
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- First timers accepted
- Weekend work required
- Floating within scope may be required
- Block scheduling is not available
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending license is not accepted
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
- Traveler may be called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- AWHONN Intermediate
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

- On-call is not required
- Charting system: Epic
- Parking is free
- Housing is provided during the assignment; housing units are typically 1-bedroom apartments
- Housing is typically available from 72 hours before contract start until 24 hours after contract end
- Pets are not allowed
- Housing is typically sized for the traveler only; additional family members require approval
- Housing must be cleaned at departure or additional cleaning fees may apply
