Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Fridley, Minnesota
- 13-week assignment
- Day or night 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Emergency department role in a teaching hospital with Level 4 trauma designation
- 149 staffed beds
- Epic charting
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Minnesota
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- IV insertion skills
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Schedule
- Will work every other weekend
- Scheduled to cover staffing needs
Clinical Setting and Scope
- General emergency department
- Adult and pediatric patients
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- IV therapy, including starting IVs
- Will float within scope to Mercy Hospital - Coon Rapids as needed
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers accepted
- No on-call
- No block schedule accommodation
- Local candidates not accepted within 100 miles
- Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO
- Parking is free in unrestricted spaces
