Description

Cath Lab Tech

Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in Toledo, Ohio
  • Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
  • 13-week contract
  • Unit has 7 rooms
  • Average daily census: 25–30 adults and geriatrics

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Ohio
  • Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • ARRT
  • Impella
  • Experience in a(n) Inpatient or Outpatient setting
  • Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
  • Experience with stents
  • Experience with angioplasty
  • Experience with angiograms
  • Experience with paracentesis
  • Experience with thoracentesis
  • STEMI readiness
  • Experience with Epic

Float / Assignment Notes

  • If EP experience is present, the traveler may be floated to EP as needed if Cath Lab/IR cases are low
  • Unit accepts travelers based on experience
  • No locals accepted within 50 miles

Schedule / Call

  • One weekday call per week
  • Every 5th weekend call
  • For the 13-week contract, two weekends are included: Friday 6 PM–Monday 7 AM
  • One night each week
  • One holiday of call may be required during holiday periods

Preferred

  • EP experience

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
