Operating Room RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Jennings, Louisiana
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 5x8 hours, 6:00–14:30
- 40 hours per week
- 4 rooms
- Average daily census: 10
- Call: 1 day per week and every 4th to 5th weekend
- Float scope: may be assigned to other departments if census is low
- Backfill for a cancellation
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- Endoscopy experience
- Experience with Epic
Unit / Clinical Setting
- Small rural facility with multi-disciplined staffing
- OR circulator responsibilities include OR Surgery, C-sections, PACU, and Endoscopy
- On-call RN and scrub tech must arrive within 30 minutes of call-out
- Not a trauma facility, though occasional ER cases may occur
Additional Assignment Notes
- Traveler may be assigned to an Emergency Team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team
- First week on unit includes 2 days of buddy call
