Travel Pharmacist
Overview
- Travel role in Carlsbad, New Mexico
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Days shift: 8a-5p, Monday-Friday
- 1 weekend per month, 7a-2:30p
- Call required
- Holidays required
- No floating required
- 99-bed hospital
- Auto offers only; no interviews
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in New Mexico
- 3 years of Pharmacist experience
- Pharmacist experience within the last year
- BLS
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Role Details
- Acute-care based clinical staff pharmacist role
- Responsibilities include verification of provider orders, medication dispensing, OmniCell restock, medication preparation, supervision of pharmacy techs, collaboration with physicians on drugs and dosing, education of nursing staff/patients/physicians, medication safety initiatives, patient profile review, adverse drug reaction reporting, IV admixture and nutritional supplement mixing, and narcotic accountability
Schedule and Call
- 40-hour work week
- Rotating after-hours call shared between 5 pharmacists
- Weekday call: 5p-7a
- Weekend call: 2:30p-7a
- Up to 7 days of call per month
Additional Notes
- Facility does not have 24/7 in-house pharmacy coverage
- Blocked scheduling may not be accommodated
- 48-hour guarantees may not be accommodated
