Registered Respiratory Therapist
Overview
- Location: West Burlington, Iowa
- Employment type: LTA
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:00 - 06:30
- Schedule: Every other weekend required, every other holiday rotation required, on-call once every scheduling period
- Coverage: May cover other shifts as needed
Role Summary
Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Primary responsibility includes all respiratory care modalities, supervising respiratory care students, initiating and conducting therapeutic procedures, maintaining patient records, and selecting, assembling, checking, and operating equipment. Provides care for neonate, infant, toddler, school age, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS
- NRP
- Experience in Educator roles
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
