Role Overview

• Travel/Contract position in Surgical Services
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 6:45–18:15
• 13-week contract
• 20 OR rooms; 40–50 cases per day
• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Epic (Excellian) charting

Required Qualifications

• CVOR Technologist with 2 years of experience
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NBSTSA
• Experience working with Cardiac patients
• Experience working with Vascular patients
• Experience working with Thoracic patients
• Experience in the general operating room (OR)
• Experience in hybrid OR
• Pending state license accepted
• On-call as needed
• Floating as needed within scope
• Criminal background check required within 1 year of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required within 1 year of start
• HHS/OIG required within 1 year of start
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
• Tdap required
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required
• Rubeola, mumps, and rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required
• Hepatitis B: positive IGG titer, proof of series, or signed declination required
• Varicella: positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines required
• Drug testing required within 1 year of start
• RespSafety clearance required
• References: 2 required
• Skills checklist required annually
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required
• Competency Exam required
• Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprint clearance required
• BCA search required

• Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
• Arteriovenous fistula repair
• Carotid angioplasty
• Carotid artery stenting
• Carotid endarterectomy
• Endovascular aneurysm repair
• Femoral popliteal bypass graft
• Laparoscopic assisted cases
• TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair)
• Vein stripping

Required Thoracic Case Skills/Experience

• Laparoscopic assisted cases
• Lung resection - thoracotomy
• VATS

Required Professional Knowledge and Skills

• Aseptic technique
• Isolation precautions
• Laser safety
