PT Outpatient
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: 5x8, 8:30–17:00
- 40 hours/week guaranteed
- Adults and geriatrics
- About 11 cases per day
- First-timers accepted, including with acute inpatient experience
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call requirement
- No floating within scope
- Block schedule may be accommodated: Monday–Friday
- Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico
- Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or American Safety and Health Institute or AHA-RQI
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience working with Geriatric patients
- Experience in an Acute Care or Inpatient setting
- Experience caring for post-operative shoulder, cervical, and spinal patients
- Experience with spinal conditions and mobilization
- Experience with traumatic brain injury (TBI) management
- Experience caring for post-stroke patients
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completed exemption form
- Tdap vaccine required; declinations accepted
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- Competency exam, as applicable by profession/specialty
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable by profession
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Emergency contact form
- Background check, fingerprinting, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG screening required
- Badge request authorization
- Facility job description must be completed/reviewed
- Flu vaccination, declination, or approved exemption required
- TB questionnaire required annually
- Fit mask required within 1 year of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation required
- COVID exemption attestation required when applicable
