Description

Med Surg/OB RN

Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Belleville, Kansas.
Primarily med/surg, with proficiency in L & D needed for OB patients when they present.
Care includes managing OB patients through delivery and postpartum care.
Ratios: med/surg 1:4; L&D 1:1.
Very rarely, there are 2 laboring patients at the same time.
Shift: nights, 3x12, 19:00–07:00, every other weekend.
No scheduled on-call hours required, unless low census and asked to be on-call if an OB patient presents.
Locals accepted at same rate.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
1 year of Med Surg experience
Med Surg experience within the last year
Labor and Delivery experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
