Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a respiratory care program
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Patient Population
- Primarily adult patients, with a very small percentage of pediatric patients from the ED
- Not a NICU RT position
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1–Mar 31)
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
- 7-year criminal background check required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM required within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG required within 30 days of start
- Education verification required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Color blind testing required prior to start
- Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III required
- Traveler checklist required prior to start
- Pre-employment physical within 1 year of start
- Fit test within last 12 months required before start
- Negative TB or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire required annually
- Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella immunization documentation required
- Negative 11-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start
- Proof of 2 clinical references required
- Employment application/resume required
- Skills checklist required as applicable by specialty/profession
- Work history verification required for standard 7-year history
