Overview
- Role: RRT NICU

Assignment Details
- Average daily census: 6–10 vents
- Contract length: 18 weeks
- First-timers accepted: Yes
- Weekend requirement: Weekends required as needed by the unit; travelers are expected to work no more than 3 weekends in a row
- Floating: May float to the RRT Adults unit as needed
- Block schedule: Not open to block scheduling
- Local radius rule: No locals within 100 miles
- RTO restriction: Greater than 7 days needs approval
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week
- OT: After 48 hours on all contracts
- Holiday requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, or NYE & NYD
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (2 years of experience)
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Driver's License
- Endotracheal tube/suctioning
- Extubation
- Nasal airway placement/suctioning
- Oral airway placement
- Oropharyngeal suctioning
- Sputum specimen collection
- Tracheostomy suctioning
- Pulmonary toileting
- ABG interpretation
