Description

Float Pool Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Float Pool position in central pool Medical Surgical/TELE units.
  • Floating is required, and travelers float first.
  • May also float to hematology, oncology, orthopedics, med tele, general surgery, neurology including neuro SDU, neurosurgery, ENT, GYN, ED Boarders, and possible surge areas.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling, with a minimum of every other weekend and/or schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs.
  • Start is required within the next week.
  • Contract length: 5 weeks.
  • Schedule: Monday to Sunday.
  • 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
  • No block schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • NIHSS, required prior to start
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Large trauma level 1, teaching facility experience
  • EPIC experience within the past 2 years

Additional Notes

  • Bi-weekly orientations on Monday.
  • Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
  • Public transportation is not accessible in the area; reliable transportation is strongly recommended.

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
