Interventional Radiology RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Portland, Oregon
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Call is required
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Interventional Radiology (2 years of experience)
- Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
- Experience in a Critical Care, Emergency Department, or PACU setting
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with radiation safety and fluoroscopy
- Experience with IR procedures including gastrointestinal bleed (GIB), stroke, and trauma
- Experience with Epic
- Ability to report to work within 30 minutes when called
- Ability to ride the Arial tram throughout the day
- Ability to tolerate moving throughout the entire shift
- Ability to stay focused and adapt to assignment changes several times during the shift
- Weekend and after-hours call availability
Preferred
- IR experience, including body and neuro procedures
- Experience caring for patients undergoing procedures and associated complications
- Knowledge or experience with radiation safety and fluoroscopy
- Knowledge or experience with IR procedures including GIB, stroke, and trauma
- Charge RN experience in ICU, PACU, or ED
- Experience serving on a Shared Governance council or committee
- 8 hours of annual stroke education
Department
- Interventional Radiology department
- Multidisciplinary team includes Registered Nurses, Interventional Radiology Technologists, and Interventionalists
- Routine hours are Monday through Friday, 07:30 to 16:00
- On-call team covers all cases after routine hours, 7 days a week
