NICU RN

Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in Rockville, Maryland
  • Level 3 NICU
  • Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45–18:45
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Ratios: 1:2
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • Locals accepted
  • Start date: in job details
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maryland
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

  • None stated

Float Scope

  • May float to Peds and Well baby Nursery

Additional Notes

  • No tobacco or nicotine use is allowed; nicotine/cotinine screening is enforced
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Cerner charting is used
  • Parking is available in the patient visitor parking garage at no cost with badge exit

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
