Description

Operating Room RN

Overview

Travel/Contract assignment in Hays, Kansas
13-week contract
Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:30 to 17:00
40 hours per week
On-call Monday through Thursday, 19:00 to 07:00, alternating 1st or 2nd call

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

TNCC, if required by the unit description
ACLS is preferred for Med Surg, Ortho/BJ&S, and Rehab RNs
PALS is preferred for OR RNs
NIH Stroke Certification is required for some units but not this role unless the unit description says otherwise
CPI may be required depending on the unit description

Additional Notes

Any color scrubs are allowed
Orientation is held on the main campus
Lactation resources are available

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
