8E Stepdown/MedSurg RN
Location

Unit
- 8 East MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor)
- 34 beds
Schedule
- 12-hour nights
- 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- BLS certification
- Must be able to titrate drips
- Must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Unit Details
- Stepdown ratio: 1:3
- Floor ratio: 1:5-6
- Telemetry is present on the unit
- Tele techs post strips each shift
- RT is in-house 24/7
- Vents are on the unit
- Charge Nurse and Transport RN are present at optimal staffing
- Typically staffed with 2-5 CNAs
Schedule Requirements
- Weekend shifts required
- Holiday shifts required
Floating
- May be pulled to other areas
