Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Randallstown, Maryland
• 36 hours per week
• Evening shift: 3x12s, 3:00 PM–3:20 AM
• 54-bed Emergency Department
• Treats neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Supports two rapid evaluation units for urgent care and critical care needs
• Supports 2 locked Behavioral Health units in the ED

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of Emergency Department experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Prophecy Relias Advanced Emergency Department assessment
• 4 hours annual stroke CEUs
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required during the contract period

Preferred

• 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience may be considered
• Precepting and training experience
• CEN

Additional Details

• First-time travelers are accepted if they have at least 3 years of Emergency Department experience
• Patient ratio experience: 1:4–6
• Behavioral Health units have a security team
• One pre-approved time-off request is permitted per contract
• Requested time off must be included in the contract and reviewed with the manager
• Block scheduling is not accepted
• Locals are accepted
• Cerner with FirstNet and Launch is used for charting
• Navy blue scrubs
