RN Medical / Surgical/ Telemetry

Overview

• Location: Fort Madison, Iowa
• Employment type: LTA
• Shift: 18:00 - 06:30
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Unit: Telemetry / Med Surg unit
• Patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Driver's License
• Experience with Epic
• Basic dysrhythmia test out during orientation; must be passed to work the Telemetry / Med Surg unit

Schedule / Assignment Details

• Estimated work week: 36 hours, with the possibility of overtime
• Every other holiday rotation may be required
• May occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census
• If called in, must be able to arrive on-site within one hour
• May be required to float to West Burlington or Henry County campus

Onboarding / Compliance

• Self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance
• Required onboarding items include background check, drug screen, references, resume/profile, license/certification verification, education verification, and standard health/immunization documentation
• NIH Certification required for onboarding
• GRH CPI/MOAB required for onboarding
• Fit test required prior to start
• Color vision test required within 1 year
• Health statement required within the last 12 months
• TB test must be negative within the past 2 years, with additional documentation required if there is a prior positive TB test
