Operating Room RN

Overview

Travel/Contract assignment in Olney, Maryland
Start date: 12/7
Weekly orientation on Monday
Locals within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
Scrubs provided
Flu vaccine required

Schedule

2 day shifts of 8 hours: 06:45–15:15 or 10:45–19:15
2 day shifts of 12 hours: 06:45–19:15
On-call required: up to five 12-hour call shifts per six-week scheduling period
Call coverage is primarily on weekends; one weekday call shift may also be assigned

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maryland
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience working with General Surgery patients
Driver's License

Preferred

ACLS
PALS
NRP
TNCC
NIH Stroke Certification

Additional Notes

The role is based in the Operating Room
Weekend call runs from Saturday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
Weekday call, if assigned, is Tuesday night

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
