Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Ohio
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Late days required
• Call required
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Active RN license verification required within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification required for RNs
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Unit-specific competency exam required
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required within 1 year of start and annually thereafter
• Skills checklist required
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or other formal leader
• Employment application required
• Emergency Contact Form required
• Background check required, including 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start
• Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start
• Ohio State - Variable Schedule Attestation for OR required
• Dress Code and Hand Hygiene Policy must be reviewed and signed
• Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism Form required
• Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training Certificate required before start and annually
• Ethics and Compliance Policies must be reviewed and signed annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start required
• Tdap required
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start required
• TB questionnaire required annually
• Measles, Mumps, and Rubella immunity required
• Hepatitis B immunity or series required
• Varicella immunity required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 3 months of start
• Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season

Additional Notes

• RTO is not approved during November 22–28 and December 20–26
• RTO during December 27–January 2 is at manager discretion
• For contracts spanning Thanksgiving and Christmas, travelers may be scheduled to work either holiday based on organizational need
