• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

• BSN

Role Summary

• Responsible for safe, effective, quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other perioperative services for all patient populations
• Acts as a patient advocate
• Meets surgical standards of nursing practice
• Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, thorough knowledge of sterile technique, commitment to the team concept, and strong commitment to task
• Develops and implements total nursing care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans
• Provides leadership while working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
• Participates in age-specific care and interaction
• Collaborates with the healthcare team in assessing the patient/family
• Performs head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy, including pediatric, geriatric, and the patient population
• Assesses and reassesses pain and uses appropriate pain management techniques
