Description

IP REHAB OT Acute

Overview

Contract role in Pahala, Hawaii
Coverage in Rehab and Acute Rehab
Schedule: Days, Monday–Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Contract length: 26 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapist license in Hawaii
Occupational Therapist (2 years of experience)
Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Red Cross
Experience working with Adult patients
Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting
Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting

Responsibilities

Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients as Outpatient or Inpatient
Plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic physical therapy program as prescribed by the ordering physician
Regularly update the treatment plan and home exercise program
Independently manage a full caseload
Determine when re-evaluations are needed based on insurance authorization
Work Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as necessary based on hospital operations

Additional Notes

Travelers without an active Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of offer
Must arrive the Thursday before start for the employee health appointment on Friday

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
