3 Pavilion / 3 T - Pulmonary & observation

Unit Details

32 beds
Nurse/patient ratio: 1:6
Adult and geriatric patients
Respiratory diagnosis, medical conditions, and trachs not vented

Required Qualifications

BLS
ACLS
Med-Surg/Telemetry/Critical Drips/Trach Care experience
Previous travel experience
RN ability to titrate drips

Preferred Qualifications

Peritoneal Dialysis experience
Good cardiac background

Schedule

Nights: 6:45 pm - 7:15 am
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
Holiday rotation with core staff

Float Scope

May float to 4P or 5P Med-Surg units
May float to the Emergency Department to care for boarded patients

Clinical Notes

Monitor techs are on the unit 24/7
Charge RNs read strips, and RNs review strips each shift
Common titratable/set-rate drips include Heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
RT equipment includes Cpap, Bipap, High Flow O2, IV pumps, sequential compression devices, pulse oximetry, and specialty beds
RN performs trach care
Scrub color: Navy

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
