Operating Room

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Houma, Louisiana
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Unit details: average daily census 11 cases, 5 rooms, adult and geriatric patient population
• Call schedule includes one weekend call per month, one call day per week, one late day per week, and one third late per week
• Skills listed: general, urology, gyn, ophthalmology, ortho, vascular, pulmonary, and endoscopy
• First-time travelers accepted
• Scrubs are provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI

Additional Assignment Expectations

• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team
• Must be comfortable reporting as assigned by the immediate unit manager during an emergency event
