Endoscopy RN (40 hrs, Days)

Location: Salem, Massachusetts Contract Length: 13 weeks Employment Type: LTA Shift: 7:15am to 3:45pm, with 1 rotating day of 8:00am to 4:30pm, or 7:00am to 5:30pm

Assignment Overview

• Unit: Endoscopy, GI/ENDO RN
• Unit description: 7 rooms, 4 MAC, and 3 conscious sedation procedures, with holding and recovery rooms
• Bed count: 18 PACU bays and 8 procedural rooms
• Census: 60-70 procedures per day
• Patient population: Diverse
• Clinician-to-patient ratio: 1:1 in procedure rooms; 1:2-3 in PACU
• Coverage: Open weekdays, with on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Rotating shifts: Required, depending on hours; the department is open 6:30am to 5:30pm
• Floating: Not required
• Parking: Free on-site parking

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Endoscopy experience (2 years)
• Endoscopy experience within the last year
• 2 years or more of total travel experience
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Familiarity with Olympus endoscopes
• Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing

Notes

• Name change documentation is optional if credential names do not match legal name.
• If a TB skin test is positive, a chest X-ray showing no active tuberculosis is required, along with a symptom survey completed before start.
• Fit test updates may be completed at a remote location if the traveler extends beyond the original assignment.
