Description
Temp Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT) (Nights), New Lenox, IL
Employment Type: Temp Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 10 hours per day Patient Populations: Neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
Role Overview
A licensed, registered Radiological Technologist who performs a variety of routine and specialized CT and X-Ray procedures. Maintains the standards of ARRT and IEMA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uses appropriate scanning protocols to demonstrate necessary anatomy and adjusts technical factors for age-specific needs in a timely manner
- Administers oral and/or IV contrast
- Assists physicians in procedures as needed
- Completes documentation according to specific guidelines
- Maintains supplies, equipment, and work areas so they are readily available when needed
- Adheres to hospital policies, professional standards, and Radiation Safety and ALARA standards
- Demonstrates courteous, polite, and respectful communication with all customers and follows the 7 customer behaviors
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
- Active ARRT (CT) certification at time of submission
- CT Technologist experience of at least 1 year, with experience completed within the last year
- Experience with GE imaging equipment
- Experience working with neonate patients
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Experience working with adolescent patients
- Experience working with adult patients
- Experience working with geriatric patients
